About

Freddie Krone is an up-and-coming musician working his way through the music industry. Born in London, UK, he started playing drums at age 9, quickly discovering a natural talent.

At age 19, he started his studies at Durham University and graduated in 2025. Mentored by Sam Walton, Rick Dior, Asaf Sirkis, Kai Craig, and others, Freddie has nurtured a rapid improvement in his playing, and created many opportunities to develop his music. These include regularly performing around the north-east of England, whilst leading and playing with over 30 groups and projects. To date, Freddie has also taken part in 6 L/EPs as both an integral band member, and session musician. His talent was spotted in 2022 by Canary Records, Newcastle, and he is now a signed artist.

Beyond the drums, he was made co-president of DH1 Records, Durham University’s record label. This involved the signing, performing, recording, producing, and promoting of artists across different genres. Combining a knowledge of music production and financial management, Freddie brought several recording projects to fruition at state-of-the-art Mark Hillery Studio.

On completing his studies, Freddie moved back to London to further his musical studies and experience. He is currently working at Studio One as a studio assistant whilst performing around London, primarily in jazz.
